A few concept designs of pet like creatures, inspired by Songofthevalley i brought together some useful creatures that would do more than follow you, most notable the pigmy zaros shaman who can boost mage abilities, the lantern bug that illuminates the darkest of caverns, the green dragon hatchling who packs a nasty bite and more :) enjoy

suggestions are welcome to what i should concept next :D

Brilliant ideas!!

The lantern insectoid creature reminds me of a Dreadnip.
I could definitely see the animals as followers, and the shaman creature looks like he'd make a brilliant NPC - maybe Skavids (a race used as slaves by Ogres and seen the Watchtower Quest) could be graphically updated to be like that and have their own series of quests.

coolio ideas and may i add y not give the shamans peopel there own area of the world and crate a village of them and have a quest series of there own :D would be great to design there own little world ^_^

Good texture, nice variety, and generally interesting. I could see my avatar having one for sure. Maybe it's worth drawing them with tonnes of different variations? to truly perfect the possible final outcome. overall pretty good! :)

Nicely done! I like the idea of useful pets, as your art reflects these ideas well. When I saw this in my messages, I got excited because I thought a new update was on the way. :p

Ahaha, I'm sure they're already swamped with their other updates. They probably look at the ideas that deviants have, but they wouldn't be able to implement it until all of their other updates are done, and then it would take time to develop, etc. I like what Jagex is doing, but you're right. I think that a vast wealth of great ideas start here, with the artists. Great job, again. :)

Excellent concepts! I especially like the bug lantern pet. :) I'd liek to see your spin on fungal pets- either making up some brand new fungal pets or like I was thinking turning existing pets into fungal forms. I think fungal creatures will fit your style extremely well!
